Implant Size

 

The final choice as to size of implant should be entirely yours.  Choose the size that YOU feel makes you look good, not what you think others may like.   Dr Mayson will insert whichever size implant you desire provided that your existing breast tissue can accommodate it and it does not make you look ridiculously out of proportion.

Understandably, breast implants only push forward the breast tissue you naturally have. It follows, therefore, that the same size implants will produce different appearances in different women depending on the amount and shape of the breast tissue they had to begin with.  Therefore, once you have an approximate idea of what size you would like to be, Dr Mayson will be able to show you the various implants that can achieve the look you desire. 

In practice, after taking detailed measurements Dr Mayson will have you try various implant makes, shapes and sizes in a ‘crop-top’ until you find the implant that you feel produces the appearance you desire.  Other than having Dr Mayson select the most appropriate size for you intra-operatively using an inflatable sizer, this is by far the next best method of visualising the likely result each implant can give you.

Ideally, your aim should be to select an implant size that will produce attractive, flattering and ‘natural’ looking breasts rather than an obviously ‘fake’ or augmented appearance that can occur if you select implants that are too large and not in harmony or in proportion with the rest of your body.

Although Dr Mayson will guide you and give you his recommendations along the way he will always leave the final choice of size up to you.
